Description
My family had the pleasure of visiting the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary in South Dakota a few summers ago and had an amazing time. I think I have them to thank for now having 3 horses in my backyard.
The Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary is 11,000 acres of privately owned land (most wild horses are on government owned BLM lands). The nonprofit was started in 1988 by Dayton O. Hyde and is home to hundreds of wild and unadoptable mustangs. They rely solely on donations to feed hay through long cold winters and to care for these animals. Please check them out at www.wildmustangs.com
$5 from each skein from this yarn club will be donated.
This is for month 3 of the club, colors are warm cream with swirls of greens and (my favorite) caramel browns. Loads of natural speckles.
