This is my first fully woolen spun yarn. Most yarns we purchase these days are worsted spun. But woolen spun is where it’s at.
It’s lightweight and next to skin soft, I’m not lying! Woolen spun yarns are softer and loftier, and tend to not loose their shape as quickly. The extra air that is introduced in the spinning process creates a very warm garment in the winter and also provide ventilation in warmer weather. It’s what wool is meant to be!
Woolenspun DK base: 100% nonsuperwash merino 270yds/100g, 3ply DK weight
