The beginning of this year was quite tough here in Minnesota. Brienne Moody created a new pattern to help process the feelings we’ve all had. This is what she has to say about her new design…
“Designed for the love of this state and it’s brave people; the Minnesota Loons Sweater is a top-down seamless pullover with a stranded colorwork yoke worked in two colors and an option to duplicate stitch a contrast color for the bird’s eyes when the knitting is done. It features Minnesota’s state bird, the loon; who’s haunting call carries over great distances.”
My kits use a millspun 100% US Rambouillet 2ply Sport weight yarn, 185yds/56g. (exact base is shown in the Walker & Mountain Haze combo. The other pictures are to show colorway combo options.)

Please choose your size and color combo to receive the correct yardage for your size. I’ve done the math already for you. If you prefer a different color combo you can definitely do that. At checkout type in the “Order Notes” box which colorway you want for your MC and for your CC. My sweater is knit in the Walker and Mountain Haze color combo.
Join Brienne, myself and Fiber MacGyver this summer for a KAL celebrating the courage and love of Minnesota(ns) and your evenings on the lake listening to the haunting yet beautiful loon song.
KAL will officially start June 19 and run until September 11. If you are at WI Sheep and Wool that weekend we will have a meetup to get pictures and share our sweaters with others.
